Western Highland Cottages rent holiday cottages in the remote western highlands of Scotland. They approached us as their exisitng site was not performing in search engines and they wanted the inclusion of a booking and availability system to mange the two cottages that they currently have.

We reviewed their current website and recommended that they go for our low cost content management solution which enables them to keep their site up to date and fresh with new content for the search engines to feed on. We also proposed the incusion of a booking and availability system that was not only very easy to use for both visitors and administration alike it would also enable them to take deposits or full payment via PAYPAL over the internet.

Next was the layout and design. We took “heather” as our inspiration for the site making the menus and header backgrounds different shades of pink and tones of green making for a vibrant welcoming website. The layout is based on a tried and tested fomula that visitors will know, understand and like making it easy for them to browse and thus make a booking.

Costs have been kept very low by opting for our content management solution making the whole site updatable by Western Highland Cottages.

The fantastic images were taken and provided by Mark (Manager of WHC) which really make you wish you were there. It really does look like an amazing place to visit.

Logo Design  

WHC did not have a logo so we also provided them with a logo which was included in the costs of the site.

Search engine optimisation

We are also providing SEO for the site and are already seeing great results after just one week. The site is already on page one of Google for a number of key phrases. i.e “cottages in western scotland”

The site is still in progress with some final touches being made to the booking system and further SEO marketing to bring the site even higher in the search engines..
