Making the most of your website and social channels during the lockdown

As with most businesses during the lockdown many are wondering how this will affect your businesses and how we can make the most of your and your employees time.

I wanted to provide some thoughts as to what you can look at during this time and upskill yourself as well as your staff.

Improving your website without the cost?

Your website is still important and during this downtime you can look to improve it with fresh content and maybe look at adding a blog to help in raising your websites ranking and visitor engagement for your website. Along with this you could also review your social media strategy.

Whilst you could sub this out to a third party company, why not use the time available and assign time to yourself and/or your staff to research and learn how to improve your websites and social media voice.

Here are a couple of links to help guide you on this.

If you do not have a blog on your website, they are easy to add and we can help guide you with this. “We are also happy to offer some free advice to help you so feel free to call for a chat“. Keep your Social Media alive and look to build connections for the future

Whilst your office might be closed with everybody is working from home, this is an ideal time to sit down and review your social media strategies. Firstly, make sure at the very least that you are on Linkedin, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter and ensure that all match your company branding and are all up to date.

The ultimate purpose of your social media channels is to create brand awareness and to create long lasting connections with potential clients and customers. This is an ideal time to review and ramp up your social media strategies and to create connections that will drive you through to the other side of the lockdown.

I won’t lie, Successful social media campaigns are not easy, it takes a lot of work, time and dedication. They can also be expensive when outsourcing to 3rd parties but if you and/or a member of your staff have the time to learn, there is no reason at all why this cannot be done in-house. We have a number of clients who have with our advice managed their own social channels extremely well. The only cost to them being their time.

There are many online resources available to help you with this such as the one below and once again, we would be happy to offer free advice / tips.
